The problem
Bedridden patients develop pressure injuries because nurses turn them without being able to see where pressure is building.
The product
VŪ is a pressure-sensing mat on the bed and a monitor at the bedside. It shows the patient's body pressure live as a color-coded map, so every turn can be checked on the spot.

Proof
- An 88% reduction in pressure-injury risk, in a Johns Hopkins meta-analysis of 1,866 patients.
- In use at Johns Hopkins, Ohio State, UNC, UC Irvine and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
- In a burn ICU, hospital-acquired pressure injuries fell by 56%.
- An FDA Class I medical device, with three granted U.S. patents.
